Welcome

The Florida Campaign for Legal Reform is a project of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform (ILR). This campaign has been established to provide you with the latest information on activities and events related to our goal of reforming Florida's legal system. Florida can't afford the high price of lawsuit abuse -- and that's why we are working to bring sensible legal reform!

Backward or Forward for Florida's Economy?
Don't Let the Trial Lawyers Destroy Our State's Legal System

A new survey of major U.S. employers shows that Florida has one of the ten worse lawsuit climates (42nd out of 50) in the country.

The state's poor lawsuit climate may be discouraging businesses from creating new Sunshine State jobs. In fact, almost two-thirds (67%) of survey respondents say that "the litigation environment in a state is likely to impact important business decisions" such as where to locate or do business.

The only folks who profit from lawsuit abuse are trial lawyers.

Right now, Florida needs more jobs — not more lawsuits.
