FLORIDA: One of the Worst States for Lawsuit Abuse
Miami-Dade Among Country's Worst Jurisdictions

Florida ranks among the ten worst (42nd out of 50) states for lawsuit abuse, according to Lawsuit Climate 2008: Ranking the States – an annual Harris Interactive Survey conducted for the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform. In addition, Miami-Dade County was named among the ten worst local jurisdictions in the country.

This reputation is good for trial lawyers … but bad for Florida’s employers, consumers and working families.
